Las Vegas/Seoul, Jan. 9, 2025 – HL Klemove, the autonomous driving solutions company of HL Group, announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with HARMAN, a Samsung Electronics subsidiary, to collaborate on a Central Compute Platform at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
The signing ceremony, held on January 8 (local time) at HARMAN’s booth, was attended by HL Klemove President & CEO Pal-Joo Yoon and HARMAN Automotive President Christian Sobottka, along with executives from both companies.
The Central Compute Platform integrates autonomous driving and in-vehicle infotainment functions into a single central controller while enabling continuous software updates. This approach enhances cost efficiency, design flexibility, and energy efficiency—key requirements for the next generation of software-defined vehicles (SDVs). HL Klemove noted that the platform is considered a core technology for future mobility, and the company has already completed integrated product development and track testing ahead of this agreement.
“Our partnership focuses on strengthening the connection between autonomous driving and infotainment, paving the way for new opportunities in the era of SDVs,” said Pal-Joo Yoon, President & CEO of HL Klemove. “We will continue to accelerate innovation to deliver solutions that define the future of mobility.”
Christian Sobottka, President of HARMAN Automotive, added, “With a balanced approach to performance and safety, the Central Compute Platform empowers automakers to bring vehicles to market faster, while delivering the in-cabin experiences consumers expect.”
