Torque
/ Torque Angle Sensor
The non-contact torque only sensor measures the relative shift angle between two torsion bars
that interconnects the input and output shafts of the steering column. The torsion bar deflects
in proportion to the amount of steering effort from the driver.
The torque angle sensor (TAS) measures torque, steering wheel angle and speed with a number of
steering wheel turns. The steering angle sensor output is absolute and offers true power-on.
