Seoul, May 20, 2025 – HL Group announced that three of its researchers from HL Mando and HL Klemove were recognized at the 60th Invention Day ceremony, held on May 19 at COEX Magok, Seoul.
At the event, In-Uk Jeon and Je-Sang Park, Principal Researchers at HL Mando, each received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, while Soon-Tae Kim, Principal Researcher at HL Klemove, was honored with the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office Award.
l In-Uk Jeon was recognized for developing key brake system components, including a solenoid valve that reduces braking noise.
l Je-Sang Park received the award for inventing a dual safety function for electric power steering (EPS), advancing precision motor control software, and enhancing system performance.
l Soon-Tae Kim was awarded for his contributions to the commercialization of Level 2 autonomous driving technologies, such as Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Highway Driving Assist (HDA).
HL Group emphasized its strong innovation track record, noting that HL Mando and HL Klemove together hold over 10,000 automotive-related patents worldwide. The Group reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening competitiveness on the global stage by continuously delivering breakthrough mobility technologies.
